One of my favorite buildings in Bushwick, at the north corner of Hernández Park seems to be under repointing work. As I understand it, that’s a big ticket job.
Photo blogger Jake Dobkin laments the inexorable journey of land toward its highest and best use. I disagree that Williamsburg is physically that much different than Bushwick at this point — it’s still a bunch of razorwire and weedy lots and graffiti and ugly, depressing industrial hulkage — it just has fun stuff to do among all that. On my way home from the city today, I passed this little apple placed dead-center on the steps of this building on Jefferson Street just past Myrtle like a SanterÃa offering.
