‘Fixed’: Biking Around Bushwick
Central, Stanhope, St. Nicholas! Trevor Geoffrey Adams rides his bike throughout the neighborhood; it’s amazing how the right music can brighten up even the most dismal of industrial corners. The old Chinantla factory, Lares Bar, El Pollo Mas Bueno, TortillerĂa Los Hermanos, Chimu Express… take a look, you might see part of your hood in here.

Hmm, riding on the sidewalk, riding against traffic, riding without a helmet, riding without lights.
SAFETY FIRST!
I will say I like the shot of Trev riding in front of the Boar’s Head plant with the green lights flashing behind him.

In response to the safety concerns, this was a film project for a friend. I rode for about 50 yards so we could practice use of the camera. On normal rides I obviously ride with traffic, wear a helmet etc.
Thanks for the comments!

Nice shots. My personal fave was the “dickchicken.” I’ve seen that one many times.

Nice! I liked the last scene with images of you walking your bike back across the street to the beat of the song.

Is that all? LOL, seriously I enjoyed that re-visit.
Have you all met my daughter yet? She opened a bike shop on DeKalb last August….here’s a brief intro:

Trev, I think you’ve stumbled on yet another form of indulging video art. And, you don’t necessarily need to be from the neighborhood to appreciate it’s relaxing effects. Like any other forms of art, you too drew criticism, but I for one found this to be a nice morning pace setter. A, yes, my building happens to be prominently shown in it. Great, great effort! Do more =]

You need a helmet to ride a bike now? Guess it’s been about 10 years since I rode a bike anywhere in Brooklyn.
