Bushwick Apartment Roundup 11/19/08

$1500 — 3br rr: Classic looking place with dark wood floors and original moldings. This is a great price for a large apartment in this location, which is pretty great. A couple blocks to Maria Hernandez Park, one block from the train, food and wine options nearby, and even decent architecture.

$1650 — 2br: Normal price for this area, but maybe that’s changing — they’re offering a month free, bringing your rent for the year to $1512. Pretty good renovation here and great location near the train and for food and booze, Northeast Kingdom.
PETS OK | Troutman and Irving | street view | Jefferson L
$1650 — studio “loft”: This was advertised with us a while back as a condo. The developer has a, hm, non-Western idea of taste — check out the photo of the back yard. There’s a freaking koi pond back there, ok? That said, these gutted railroads have good space and light, and while not exactly attractive fixtures, they’re new and actually somewhat expensive.
Hart and Wilson | street view | DeKalb L
$1300 — 1br: The kitchen in here seems huge, compared to the rest, but overall it looks pretty good. Close to Myrtle JMZ hub with Mr. Kiwi and all the other good stuff like fried chicken and donuts.
PETS OK | Jefferson St and Bushwick | street view | Myrtle JMZ
$1190 — 1br: Not much fun down this way but it’s certainly a nice block to look at. Decent apartment with what looks like a super view and new kitchen and bath (and everything else).
PETS OK | Bushwick and Bleecker | street view | Kosciuszko J
from the wtf file: The place is nice, but I’m amazed that one-bedrooms go for $1900 just up on Montrose. But can someone tell me why a tenant would care that a building has a 25-year tax abatement?
