Bushwick House of the Week: 83 Cooper

83 Cooper has had a hard life. It was just purchased in 2006 for $508,000 with 100% financing, and already it’s foreclosed, vacant, and 40% cheaper than its last sale. Somehow, the 16.5 foot-wide lot allows this thing to have nearly three thousand square feet — they had resourceful developers back in the day. Some unpleasant things have been done to the facade over the years but at least the stoop is intact. No idea what the inside could look like, but for the price, who cares, fix it up yourself. This is the price of a condo 1/4 the size.

Yeah, you just gotta come up with all cash for this beauty. What is going to happen to all these houses? Sigh.
