$1050 — 1br: Um, what. Too bad there aren’t more photos, but from what I see, I like. This is surely in one of the grand brick apartment buildings on Bushwick Avenue with terrazzo lobbies and nouveau-deco details. A shot of one of the rooms shows all the old trims and moldings intact. Kitchen is a yawner, but acceptable. And utilities are included. Jump on it, people.

$1200 — 1.5br rr: They’re billing this “0.5″ thing as a bedroom, when really it’s a wide hallway you can slap a cot in and charge someone $500/month for. If you’re an adult, this would be more for a single person who needs an office or studio, not a student slum. Good price for the location near all of Bushwick’s new and good stuff, the park, and transportation.

$1700 — 4br: Get all your roommates (or your family? snort) and check this place out. Four bedrooms for the price of two. Lots of old details… some of which could use some love. Can’t beat the location for the price, on a well-kept and tree-lined block. You know the agent is old-school when they mention the proximity to the Jackie Robinson Parkway.

$1100 — jr 1br: These places are a decent size, but they are not full one-bedrooms. Depending on what side of the building you’re on, the view is the Nightmare on Grove Street or White Castle. However, this is a pretty good price, the kitchens are clean and new, and you cannot beat the convenience of being steps from two train lines. And Paige of Bushwick Cooks will be your neighbor!

$1300 — 2br rr: Very decent apartments down at the far end of Bushwick. Good light, and though I’m sure it’s a railroad, pretty spacious. The block is full of these wide, brick Ridgewood-style tenements. Landlords need to paint the trim in these places. I am so sick of raw, off-the-shelf molding.
