Lambs, Owls, and Skulls for Wyckoff Wall
A large painting featuring two lambs, an owl, plenty of skulls, and several bathtub rowing super-heroes (I think) was put up yesterday on the brick wall of the New York Garment Washer’s building on Jefferson St. and Wyckoff Avenue, right outside the Jefferson L street station. Here’s what was on the wall before that. I don’t know whether the building owners knew if the piece was going to be put up, although it wasn’t a stealthy operation: my friend saw artists setting up the wall with massive sheets yesterday afternoon. I prefer this to a Barack Obama mural but wonder how soon it will be until it gets tagged over with stuff like that annoying “you go girl” phrase.

this is really great. i saw them working on this a few days ago. they said they had permission from the building owner.

saw your post and wanted to give you the stats. the business owners of the garment washing building gave us the green light for a mural. it went up over the course of two days and resulted in some amazing tan lines. thanks for everyone that stopped by and posted about it. if you want to see more, there are some other stragglers in the neighborhood at wyckoff and willoughby as well as menahan and irving.

Bushwick Dill, if you’re so adamant about having Barack’s image all over the place, why don’t you set an example and have his faced tattooed on your ass? That way when he sodomizes you with his proposed tax policies he’ll know who you voted for.
