Fotos: Cypress Avenue Garages

Begging to be a bar.

I went on a stroll through the hood this weekend, and as I walked down Cypress from Palmetto to Troutman, I took photos of some interesting carriage houses and garages.

Interesting but scary.

Nothing special, but has a large, mature grape arbor on top.

Hard to tell from the photo, but the facade is brick and has a slate roof.

this last one, does the road next to it lead to an alley? looks like it here. real alleys always blow my mind since there are so few here. i guess in queens you see it more often, was this near the border?

and yes, my mind is very easily blown.

Yeah, those houses were built in the late 30s/early 40s, I think, and they have parking in the back instead of yards. Cypress is the border, but this type of house is on both sides of the border.
