Keepin’ It Real: After 7 years in Bushwick, Hrag Vartanian goes and sees the real, and magnificent, thing: Puerto Rico. And he goes to a fuckin’ cockfight!? Awesome.
Keepin’ It From Falling Down: Jimmy Legs’ tenants bolt for green(point)er pastures, leaving him with a weird inter-connected double duplex and no rental income, and the responsibility to decorate for the Gentiles’ holiday with no Gentiles to help him!
Humble in Scoopitude: I was lazy in posting this, even though Molly sent it to me last week, and Gothamist (and a few others) scooped me. But here it is in case you live in a blog cave. Bushwick Punk Rock Pillow Fight Club! Hm, have the hipsters been working out?
Adventures in Bushwick: A girl comes to the “wilds of Bushwick” (honey, you ain’t been to the wilds of Bushwick) and thoroughly enjoys Northeast Kingdom and its “ski hut-’70s basement” lounge.
Risky Business for Chump Change: A thief snatches a woman’s purse — worth more than its contents, it seems — on the Canarsie-bound platform at Morgan Avenue. Girl, you were on the wrong side!

was it my ‘yarmulke’ that scared my tenants off? i did use their cat’s blood to make my matzo, but in my defense it is a big part of my culture. that and turning off the hot water.
speaking of the holidays, nobody on my street has put up any decorations this year (several did last year). is no decorations a barometer of the economy in the coming year?

Ha, Jimmy, you pretty funny, but I guess that is in your genes. :)(obligatory Jew joke, please forgive me)
I think you are on to something. Most reports on retail spending I have seen look pretty bleak. I would imagine the decorations would be one of the first things people would sacrifice. Sad.
I’m sure Jeremy doesn’t care; probably hates Christmas too. Knob.
