Roberta’s (?) Opening Soon?

Months ago we heard that a wood-oven pizza place would be opening up near Bogart, and recently, a makeshift sign was put up above the door at the little cinderblock building on Seigel. In the last couple weeks, we have noted the sweet smell of burning wood in the area, and smoke billowing from the top of the shiny new flue on the roof.
We’re guessing that it’s probably mostly built-out inside and we’ll be seeing the transformation of the facade soon enough and then — open for business!

We can only hope.

I popped my head in there a few weeks ago for a nosy look and they had done a lot of the basic interior work (but not furnishings or tile work) and were in the process of building a kitchen at the front. Plus, looks like Keyspan was putting a gas line in there last week. So maybe they’ll be ready to go soon!

Hi y’all,
It’s Chris from Roberta’s pizzeria and its true that we will be opening soon. We are excited as this thing has been almost a year in the making. We are planning a party for January 4th at 8pm. Please come by and check it out. The pies will be free and will be coming as fast as we can get them out of the oven.
As far as opening for business, that will be happening very soon after. We are still waiting for Keyspan to clear the gas lines so that you can eat and drink in temperatures above 40 degrees.
We are at 261 Moore, just off the corner of Bogart.
