Bushwick Apartment Roundup 11/15/07

#1 — $3300 — loft: Yes I know it’s very expensive, but do you see what it is? The office of the old Continental Brewery. Woodwork, brick, arches, and a driveway for those with cars. The price is a little crazy but the place does look very nice — this should make some artist or artisan who actually sells their work a good home and studio. Check out the original listing for more photos.

#2 — $1425 — 2br: It has central a/c, something even lux buildings in Manhattan don’t get, for some reason I can only guess (maybe it’s that even rich New Yorkers are so used to third world amenities — hence their belief that 44c/sqft parquet floors are somehow luxurious — that they will take any cooling system you give them). I digress already. This apartment is at the end of the world at the Aberdeen L stop that I suppose someone must use. It’s renovated nicely, and is an okay price considering what it’s got.
PETS OK Bushwick and Granite Aberdeen L/Chauncey JZ

#3 — $1000 — 1br: Cheap, utilities included, pets accepted, renovatedish. And not TOO far from the J. Just take it and ignore the projects.
PETS OK Linden and Central Gates J

#4 — $1650 — 2br: It’s this place again, but they deserve another mention for the work they’ve done. Again, the price is too high but make them an offer, they can’t afford to be stubborn that far south.
PETS OK Eldert and Bushwick Halsey J

#5 — $1075 — 2br rr: This is for the novelty of it, mostly. A railroad in okay condition at a location so far out it’s fuzzy if it’s Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, or Ocean Hill. It’s actually kind of depressing, those fuzzy photos of a dingy white apartment. But that’s a great price if you don’t mind being 10 minutes on the train just to get to Flushing or DeKalb.
PETS OK Broadway and Hull Broadway Junction JZLAC

Bushwick wannabe: Cute apartment but sorry, Pulaski and Stuyvesant? Bed-Stuy.

It’s on Belvedere between Broadway and Beaver Street, one street over from us. Very cute from the outside but man, is it gorgeous inside. I had no idea.

  3. Armstrong Says:

Forgotten NY has the office loft listed as an old Telegraph Office. Scroll to bottom:

I used to frequent Broadway Junction to visit the thrift store on Pennsylvania Avenue. We’re talking East New York here! The area is pretty sketchy in broad day light. I mean, if you think the inside is depressing, take a walk around the neighborhood.

that Office apartment is one block away from me… i walk by it every day to get to the train and i didn’t realize how outrageous it was inside! if i had the money i would take that in a heartbeat

  7. Jimmy Legs Says:
