This Saturday: Fortunata’s Bumrush!

The first BushwickBK event, in true Bushwick fashion (or at least in my true fashion), is to be completely unorganized and unstructured! The plan is just to bumrush the old mafiosos at Fortunata’s — there’s always enough pizza there and they have beer. And the zeppoles, if you get them fresh out of the fryer — trans-fucking-cendant.

See you there!

  4. Mr. Kraayon Says:

At what time is everybody meeting? I work until 4, so I can be there after 5.

  5. Matt Says:

If I’m not golfin’, I’ll swing by. I can’t remember if my pal booked sat or sun tee times.

Speaking of golfing. And trees. And non sequitors…I walked out of the house this morning and some random dood was buzz sawing my sidewalk. Finally, a tree pit! I think we put in for a tree from the city about two years ago??

  6. jane Says:

  10. mafiosi? Says:

the owner is a personal friend of mine and is not a mafioso….that is a very short sighted and bigoted way of thinking. this is a family owned business that took a chance on this area after living here over 50 years. Jeremy needs to better edit himself before posting.

  11. Jeremy Says:

Aw lighten up, I love all of those guys, and I love their pizza, and that’s why we eat there so much. They also have some of the best espresso in town, and I mean New York, not Bushwick.

  12. jenblossom Says:

Mike is working tomorrow, so we may or may not be able to make it, but we’ll try!

  13. Jimmy Legs Says:

i will try to make it, but man, we gotta put something together that starts later in the day (night)! maybe something at GBM or other neighborhood spot.

  14. Jeremy Says:

Jesus, stop by for a slice you douches.

  15. Brooklyn Pete Says:

I hope I could be able to make it, not really sure if I am doing anything tomorrow.

  16. Armstrong Says:

so, did anyone go? I thought about walking over but was busy at home and figured no one would be there.

  17. Jeremy Says:

About 15 people showed up, not all at once. We ended up being there until about 6. The people who work there are so nice and the pizza, zeppoles, and espresso were great as usual.

  18. Armstrong Says:

wow, I was free at 5pm but thought it ended at 4pm. oh well, next time.. hope u guys had fun!

  19. jay Says:
