Franco-Polish Eats in Ridgewood
BushwickLou of South Bushwick via East New York has been recommending Dora’s Creperie on Myrtle in Ridgewood for a few weeks and the Miami crew got a chance to go this afternoon. The owners/staff seem to be Polish, but that doesn’t stop them from cranking out good French chow. Check out the full review at CafeHop.com.

Hi. The proprietors of this Cafe are Hungarian, not Polish. They occasionally employ a young polish girl as help. I do not recommend the Chai there as it is very bad. The espresso and lattes are usually not bad however and this is basically the only cafe in all Ridgewood. I fear it will not last very long since most Ridgewooders prefer Dunkin Donuts.
Also, I recommend the little Dominican cafeteria across the street for a decent cheap lunch.
BTW I am also a Miami expatriate although I am living in Ridgewood not Bushwick. Please direct me to the Bushwick Pollo Tropical I have heard rumors of. Thanks for starting this blog.

Ah ok, thanks for the tip!
Pollo Tropical is on Broadway a block south/east of Flushing.

I highly recommend this place. The ice chai latte is one of the best I’ve tasted. The coffee there is way better than Dunkin Dounts, where the coffee there isn’t even good. I think that this is one of the best things to happen in Ridgewood since you don’t find crepes and coffee this good with a fresh taste. I hope this place stays in business since the coffee is great and the crepes are a good meal to have.

I tasted their coffee and it was my best cup! The guy behind the counter knows everything about cupping…he worked for Nestle USA as a coffee specialist! Ridgewood should be happy that place opened up 7 months ago.
The Miami crew bloggers were false with Dora’s Coffee House & Creperie, because they never put sugar and milk. Just as in Starbucks you prepare your own coffee.
And let me tell you somthing about the little Dominican place cross the street….that place stinks. I was very hungry when I stopped by for some beans and rice….I could not finish my plate.

Puppy, it was sugar and butter, not milk, and it was a crepe, not coffee.
