There’s a great line-up of bands performing at Lone Wolf: The Memphis Morticians, Twin Guns and Lovestruck.  Show starts at 9pm with a $7 cover.

The one night only Sky Box Aerial & Variety Show is on at House of Yes.  In addition to the usual acrobatic feast, there will also be smoothies by LoveGirrrrl and a Leo-themed birthday dance party to follow.  

And local fave DJ Scot Bowman turns it up at Bodega with some late night music action.  The man has excellent taste.


Beginning at 2pm and going all day and night, there’s plenty of time to catch some Peekaboo Barbeque at Goodbye Blue Monday.  Highlights include free entry, 9 bands, cheap BBQ, a hot pants contest at 6pm, and a PBR open bar from 3-4pm.

It’s new season kick-off time at Bushwick Starr.  The rough and ready performance series Catch 46 is on tonight and tomorrow only.  Tickets are $10 at the door.

Bounce Cake, an evening of comedy, music, art, dancing and cake, rolls into Cafe Orwell.

And NYCRavers has a big Finyl Fantasy themed night planned, as they transform The Morgan into a HIGHWIND (Airship of FF7).  It’s a new type of party (they’re calling it RIDE: Radical Interactive Dancing Experience) with "a fully costumed staff, planned and choreographed events, and a crazy storyline that will span multiple events."  Heavy.


The neighborhood’s 79th yoga option appears at 3rdEye(Sol)ation, happening every Sunday at 3pm.  "Alex Zaglin of Alex Expressions will be teaching and leading you to a tranquil and calm state of mind while opening various avenues of energy through several versatile salutations."  Class is $10 and open to all levels – you just need to bring your own mat.
