Yours Truly is still doing their thing from the little Broadway storefront we profiled a while back. Since they’ve fully opened, the women’s clothing company has been throwing some fun summer parties. In their backyard they’ve got a swimming pool, and on Saturday they’ll be having a bikini contest. If that’s not enough of an incentive to roll through, they’ll also have deejays spinning, including DJ Schoolboy and DJ Yamez. Youtube phenom The Hood Chef will be making an appearance behind the grill as well. This dude runs a funny cooking show and also appeared on a new track by Bushwick-dweller Cobra Krames, “Cookin’”.

“Cookin’” is built on an 808 palette with some giant bass drums and rich snaps mixed with rapid clicks and toms. Whiny synths and chopped throwback vocals flesh the rest out. Chef handles the hook, telling us to get drunk and get our cook on, then moves onto some X-rated rhymes. Texas-based Cerebral Vortex, a rapper who often works with electronic beatsmiths, gets a couple verses in (sounding oddly like Nicky Minaj at points) focusing on weed, girls, and gear.
