Mutant SupremacyBushwick venue the Acheron is celebrating its first birthday this weekend. The Waterbury Street club, which hosts punk, hardcore, and metal bands as well as comedy nights, is commemorating the occasion with a free event. Things are kicking off early with a pig roast and other barbeque at 5pm. Music kicks off at 8pm, with an extensive line-up including Batillus, Mutant Supremacy, Defeatist, Mortals, Bad Dream, and Tournament. Saturday night will also be the debut performance of Trenchgrinder, featuring members of Attake, Mutant Supremacy, and Pathos. Get there early, get some BBQ, and get your doom on.
“It’s been an unbelievable year, and this one keeps on getting better,” says Acheron founder Bill Dozer. “We’ve recently done some renovations, and we’re goinng to keep making improvements to the space to make it the best DIY venue in New York.”
