This clip is something like an impromptu discussion about what the apocalypse would sound like. The Knox siblings weave echos of haunted vocals with crunchy basslines, erie synths, breakcore beats, deep kicks, and the occasional rainforest sample. It’s a live recording of a performance at 1012 Willoughby. They dwell on long periods of unnatural introspective ambience which seems a bit difficult to imagine in a crowd, but it’s great home listening. The driving pulse and warbling effects at the end are gripping. To get an idea of what goes on behind those piles of electronics, watch Sister Knox bang out a live rhythm on a drum machine here.
