When an event is listed as “No Input Mixing Board Feedback Mayhem Fest,” it can easily be deduced that there is going to be noise. Lots of noise.
Friday’s show at Silent Barn is going to be one for the audiophiles out there, basically one long set of experimentation using the space’s mixer for oscillation, plus whatever effects the performers dig out. In fact, the performers — Bob Bellerue, Jeff Donaldson, Philip White, and Phil Stearns — often create sounds that could easily be dismissed as static, so if you’re not into exploring the nuances of sound art/installations, this one might be a little difficult to cope with.
Things kick off Friday at 8pm. It’s not likely to be melodic, but it should produce some very interesting tones. Just don’t come expecting to dance.

Just to clarify, you really should come prepared to dance/trance. Just cause it ain’t your grandpa’s electronic music, doesn’t mean it ain’t gonna have some semblance of rhythm or melody.
