If you read our Twitter, you might have noticed that Old Money performed last weekend at the monthly Full Service party held at Tandem. We gave the group a brief mention a few weeks back, too. But just in case you still haven’t gotten a good idea of who they are, we’ll give it another go with the above video.

The title track of their most recent effort, Mamaseh, was turned into this slick video earlier in the year. The paranoid imagery of city nights visualizes the song’s dark afro house rhythms, spooky piano key strikes and chanting vocals. The majority of the music from their formal releases is hidden behind the iTunes barracks of 30 second samples, but a bunch of their stuff can still be found for free on their SoundCloud page. You also might want to check the blog they’re associated with, Attorney St., which is presumably named after the stunted street under the shadow of the Williamsburg Bridge. Within that digital space, you’ll find some Old Money music, the sounds of other artists, beautiful photos and some general creativity.
