$1050 — 1br: In this day and age, it’s hard to come by a decent 1br — or a studio — for $1050, so if you’re looking to fly solo, perhaps you’ll want to check out this place. which looks like it may have a decent amount of space for the price. And while it’s not terribly close to food and fun, it is only a block from the nearest J train.

$1275 — 2br rr: Often, only luck will get you a good 1br for $1275 in this area, so to find an even passable 2br for that price could be quite the break. Of course, it’s a railroad, which is definitely not for everyone, but this spot looks to have a decent amount of space, offering a rather large eat-in kitchen as well as, supposedly, lots of closets and very high ceilings. The short block to the train is also a plus, and if family comes to visit you can put them in the nearly complete new hotel next door.

$1250 — 1br: If the provided photos are any true indication, the first thing you’ll notice about this place if you visit will be the closets and how much light seems to be let in through the windows. And, while the intersection may be a bit noisy with oft-heavy traffic and overhead trains, you’ll barely have to walk at all to get to the convenient express stop you’ll be living under and there are several coffee spots and venues nearby, if that’s your thing.

$1350 — 2br: The photos don’t really offer much to go by other than this apartment appears to be a corner unit that gets good light in… is that a bedroom or the living room? Whichever it is, $1350 for a non-railroad two-bedroom could very well be a good find. And being one block from the train is an asset, as well.

$1199 — 1br: If you’re into cooking, the kitchen here might draw you in with all its cabinet and counter space for really spreading out and making a big meal. And although the floors throughout the unit appear to all be tile, they, along with what else can be seen of the place appear to be in pretty good shape. The location isn’t bad, and you’ll only be a couple of blocks from the train.
