
With basil in full flowering bloom, I’m having trouble keeping up with all the things to do with it. This recipe for a perfect pesto makes great use of the herb, is utterly delicious and can be spread on anything from bread to fish to summer squash to peaches.
Ingredients:
1 C. packed fresh basil leaves
1/2 C. pine nuts
1/4 C. grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic
3/4 C. olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Combine all the above ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until fully combined. Spread over anything and enjoy!

Never put Pesto in a soup bowl or tea cup somebody will microwave and try to drink it as cream of greens !
