Austin’s Mammoth Grinder walk a blurry line between speed metal and hardcore. The metal leanings mean some seriously sinister vocals, the occasional indulgent guitar solo, and a whole lot more references to the end of days than in hardcore. We’ll link you to a fan-made, gore-filled video for Sentenced to Hell, which offers an interesting juxtaposition of crisp visuals with swampy audio, as well as some NSFW blood-and-guts shots. Not recommended for the squeamish.

Mammoth Grinder are playing an all ages show at the Acheron tomorrow (Thursday, July 29). Joining them on the bill are Innumberable Forms, Naughty Girls (who are nigh on impossible to Google for), and Longpigs (not to be confused with Richard Hawley‘s former cohorts). Tickets are $8, doors are at 8pm.
