A little rain refused to dampen spirits of revelers out at the return of Summer Streets on Knickerbocker Avenue. The avenue was closed to traffic between Starr and Suydam Streets for three weekends this July.
Earlier in the day, children participated in several drawing activities while the adults played dominos in a Bushwick-wide tournament, sponsored by the Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council and Arts in Bushwick.
Scores of residents huddled under tents slurping ices with tamarind and pineapple flavoring (a favorite of AiB’s Laura Braslow), waiting out the afternoon showers to listen to a 15-piece salsa band.
By 4 pm, the rain cleared up and the dancing began.

aaron,
I used to like you dude! but, why do u always seem to pick your favorites to point them out in articles? why does laura braslow, who has been in bushwick for like a week, have to be mentioned yet all the hard-working people from RB, who actually planned the event, don’t get any shout-outs?
your journalism is always one-sided and biased.
