Meet Dorothy Minor. She worked as an assistant at the Board of Education for 35 years before retiring. She’s 81 years old and spends all day sitting on her porch or looking out the window. She unabashedly shares the highs and lows of her life, including her amazement at the respect she gets from her Bushwick neighbors. “Race, creed, it doesn’t matter. Everyone calls me ‘Ma.’ Everybody tries to give respect to Mrs. Minor.”
music: “I Know” by Bonnie Raitt
