Firefighters remain on the scene as the rubble from the factory fire on Evergreen Avenue continues to smolder. The fire, which started on Friday, caused the back of the two-story building to collapse. To prevent the entire building from falling, a wooden support frame was built and attached to the side of factory.

Firefighters from Engine 218 told BushwickBK that they would remain on the scene “to prevent the fire from re-igniting.” Chauncey Street remains sealed off between Central and Evergreen Avenues by uniformed officers from the 83rd Precinct. The fire is still under investigation.
