Firefighters are still battling flames at an Evergreen Avenue factory that caught fire yesterday. The building has partially collapsed and an FDNY Collapse Rescue Unit is on the scene.
L train service has resumed but is skipping the Bushwick Avenue-Aberdeen Street station in both directions. Eastern Parkway has been blocked off according to police for use by the FDNY. “If you want to get on the Jackie Robinson avoid Eastern Parkway,” said one officer.
Early morning commuters at the Wilson St. stop on the L said there was a haze of smoke inside the station but trains were still running. A commuter at Broadway Junction said she could smell the fire from the platform of the station.
A firefighter on the scene told BushwickBK that no injuries were reported yesterday or today.

There’s just more coverage of it now. There’s a shooting every other week in this neighborhood. A good tip for not being shot: don’t join a drug gang, don’t join a street gang, and don’t date anyone in either type of gang. That covers 99% of murders in New York.
