This week, everything between $1050 and $1200 — some amazing Victorian-detailed places in different locations, some hot, some not so much. All are good options depending on if you want to save money and get more space, or vice versa. Some more stuff in the Bushwick Classifieds including lofts and rooms for rent.

$1150 — 1br: This pretty apartment has a lot of old details, though I’m but sure what’s going on with the wall in the bathroom — is that some kind of treatment? Aside from that, nice dark wood floors, interesting moldings and fireplace with inset tile. The owners live in the building — good for maintenance issues, bad for parties? — and electricity is included. The location is pretty much the best you can find, under a minute from so many good things to eat and drink, including the new Venezuelan arepa joint at Irving and Troutman (review forthcoming!). A total deal.

$1200 — 1br: An even more beautiful apartment than the one above, spacious, bright, opulently Victorian with a huge bay front, wood floors, beautiful moldings, and inlaid-tile fireplace. All utilities are included. Drawbacks: the location, while physically beautiful, is a bit rough and not the most prime; and there is a broker fee. But I think these are overcome by the sheer size and beauty of the unit and the included utilities. Check the place out to make your own assessment.

$1075 — 2br rr: Basic and pretty nice railroad for a great price right on the park in prime Bushwick. Note the photos are NOT of a ground floor unit, so the one available will be darker.
Starr and Knickerbocker | Jefferson L

$1099 — 1br: Nice place with attractive spaces, lots of windows and light, and original details — the fake parquet floors are ugly but maybe you can get the landlord to pull them up and see what’s underneath. The location is, like the one on Cornelia above, unfabulous, but the price is pretty good for the space you usually get in these pretty prewar Bushwick Avenue apartment houses.

$1100 — 1br: This place is at the same intersection as above, in either the same or similar apartment house, but the interior is not as nice. Still a good option but I’d go for the one above first.
