Lots of original woodwork in good shape and a very wide, nicely renovated kitchen with tons of light — I think this may be on the top floor. Just lovely all around and a fabulous price.

$1280 — 2br: This is a fine price for this renovated apartment — I find the pine cabinets are rather ugly but to each his own. Great preserved floors, some exposed brick, lots of light, and close to Little Skips café and just a 5-minute walk to the Myrtle-Broadway hub.

Inside is your typical nothing-much renovation, everything looks in order, and the price, when you balance the pluses and minuses, is fair. We don’t need the landlord to tell us so, as if he were the one we’d listen to anyhow.

$1200 — 2br: Once the dingbats who own a lot of these places realize the M train is turning into a real, useful subway line, these prices along the elevated tracks might start to inch up. For now, enjoy the low prices and newly reconstructed, if not inspired, interiors. Depressing floors but maybe some area rugs will cheer it up. Location is okay, close enough to all kinds of stuff that you won’t feel isolated.

$1250 — 2br: Some great original details in this place — the bathroom is monstrously ugly but the rest is doable. I’d honestly ask for $50 off the price, the location really is less than wonderful, a bit rough and quite a walk from most stuff.
