Happy Earth Day, Bushwick! We’re all about local/green/sustainable/urban farms in these parts and there are plenty of ways to celebrate those things this week! There are also a number of art events ranging from opening receptions to "soccer balls with faces" and "feral face painting," and what Bwick weekend would be complete without bikes/bike-related events? Don’t ever say it’s boring out here.

Tonight

Celebrate Earth Day on Green Fitness Studio‘s rooftop! There will be drinks, bands, DJs and a vegan menu. (8pm. Free for members, $10 for non-members… and the roof is nice. It’s a great place to stretch. There I said it.)

Attend a closing party at Centotto gallery for their current show: Collaborative Forgeries, or Forged Collaborations. Details and reading assignment available at Centotto.com.

Friday

Pop in to an open studio - Erin Haldrup and Joshua Krasner: Recent Work at 505 Johnson Street.

Tuesday

The Sky Report will be on hand for Bushwick-based Asa Ransom‘s 3rd weekly residency night at Cameo Gallery in Wburg. I’ve heard these Tuesdays are off the charts. The hotties are out and movin’ so let’s all make it a point to get there.
