Following a public hearing regarding the replacement of the New York Harbor School with the Frances Perkins Academy in the Bushwick Campus, the Department of Education has withdrawn their proposal. In an email to principals of the schools at the Campus, a DOE official indicated that no school would replace the Harbor School in the 2010-2011 school year but that the department would work to identify a replacement in the 2011-2012 school year. In the meantime, it’s understood that the Harbor School classrooms will be vacant.
