Another week, another bunch of sub-$1100 apartments. The order was hard to decide — the last one is an amazing deal no matter where it is — but since the last two gave no specific location, I put them at the end. And don’t forget to check out what’s in the classifieds this week.
$1100 — 1br: I’m very fond of this apartment, even the blue wall color in the kitchen is well-chosen. Lots of original details like wall moldings and those big old iron tubs, plenty of windows, an a decently renovated kitchen. The area is very convenient, just steps to the wild local food experience that is Food Bazaar, and in an architecturally lovely little area near the train hub.
Woodbine and Irving | Myrtle-Wyckoff LM
$1000 — 1br: Nothin much, a standard newly renovated, inexpensive one-bedroom in an okay location with pretty old architecture and near some good stuff on Broadway.
Lafayette and Bushwick | Kosciuszko J
$1099 — 2br rr: Pretty nice new-renovation railroad right near the above listing.
Himrod and Bushwick | Kosciuszko J
$1050 — 1br: Look, I don’t know where this is, it just says “near the Morgan L.” But it looks pretty nice, and you can’t beat this price and location. Be wary, but do check it out, and don’t fall for a bait-and-switch. PETS OK
$850 — 1br: Another one with no address, just “Bushwick Avenue” — but it’s very pretty, with nice wood floors, tile work, and brilliant sunlight. And utilities are included! PETS OK

You know, other people besides lone hipsters (who couldn’t even afford 1k a month apartments by themselves anyway) are looking for apartments in bushwick.
How about instead of doing these shitty 1 bedroom railroads EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WEEK, you actually do some real apartments, 2, 3+ bedrooms, boxed layout. Duplexes, etc.
Mix it up, this is ridiculous.
It’s not as if it was always like this, a while ago you had a 3 bedroom on Wilson listed in one of your apartment roundups that I actually went to check out in person (it turned out to be a windowless dungeon shithole next to the projects, but still)

Jesus Christ by the way, you shouldn’t even be listing apartments with no/one shitty picture or apartments that list themselves “Steps to Morgan L” (As this is 70% of all apartments listed on craigslist regardless of the neighborhood they are really in.
These days, if an apartment says it’s located near the morgan avenue L station, you are lucky if it’s located on Wilson and Jefferson.

When you ask all sweet like that, how can I resist? Just for you, next week it will be 3-bedrooms.
