Was it perhaps the night before? When I came home from work yesterday that corner was taped off with Yellow caution tape and then this morning there was about 5 ConED trucks.

That was probably them working.

There were 4 or 5 firetrucks at Broadway and Hart last night around 7:00 or 7:30 when I got home from work- pretty sure something happened well before 3am..

My wife heard the explosion last night, that building has had all kinds of problems, there was a big electrical fire there last year.

there was a fire in that manhole around 7, then they were working on the manhole because of that fire when the explosion happened at 3 am. Trust me, it was loud. And at 3 am.

@hartstresident thanks, that explains the fleet of trucks earlier I guess. Crazy, we’re practically on top of it, have no idea how none of us heard the explosion.

@hartstresident are you on the North side of Broadway? I think we’re your across-the-street neighbors

Sure am! Right across the J train!
