This week I’ve assembled a few two-bedrooms, some railroads, all $1200 or under. As ever, feel free to ask questions about other apartments, locations, prices, and landlord and lease issues. I’m not a lawyer, obviously, but hey I often know what I’m talking about on this subject. Dn’t forget to check out addition listings in the Greater Bushwick Classifieds.
$1195 — 2br rr: Lovely, bright, open, charming railroad on Bushwick’s tamest street. Wood floors, old details, exposed brick, and a newer kitchen, and it seems this is a corner building, giving the walk-through bedroom a window. And you’re down the block from newly opened Barcey’s Coffee.

$1200 — 2br: Bright two-bedroom in a convenient location. Floors look like “wood” laminate or bamboo, the kitchen and bath are new, and I think I see tin ceilings. Great price and rent-stabilized.

$1095 — 2br rr: Quite affordable, cute with tons of great old details, acceptably renovated kitchen, wood floors… what’s the catch? The location, of course, but it’s not that bad — the block is okay, with an eclectic arrangement of architecture for sure. The projects on Central are ugly, but they’re small-scale and rather harmless.

$1100 — 2br rr: This place is gorgeous, full of what the agent calls “antique chic” details: wood floors, moldings, built-ins, tin ceilings, and clawfoot tub. It’s bit out there, kind of a hike to Bushwick proper, but the area is lovely, tree-lined, and close enough to the M train and assorted food local spots.
CATS OK | Onderdonk and Menahan | street view | Seneca M
$1199 — 2br: Good location, okay renovation, some exposed brick which isn’t very attractive — not much to say, I guess, except it’s a good price for what it is.
