Indoor Kids: the Green Fitness Studio opening party is finally happening on Monday the 21st; now you can wrestle with your demons on the elliptical machine instead of the streets.
If you didn’t have a chance to check out the soft opening this week — the machines are in, the outdoor deck is sodded, and the solar-paneled, hot yoga room is hot indeed. Workers seem to be on double-duty to finish the locker room and juice bar. In spite of the pressure to finish in just a few days, I can assure you that the staff is very, very happy to be there.
The opening party will offer free yoga, pilates and spin classes and starts at 5:30 pm on Monday so you can check out the equipment, the perks, and the sweet new Norwalk press juicer (they claim it’s the only one of it’s kind in Brooklyn.)
Gym memberships range from $69-$89 a month and single day trials go for $25. Though the prices are higher than Richie’s Gym and Fit City, Rachel Devlin, Green Fitness Studio general manager, claims her gym will offer many more exercise options, top quality fitness classes, saunas and one-on-one training that isn’t available anywhere else in Bushwick.
“Our classes will really appeal to everyone,” she said. “Some people feel you need to go to a yoga studio to get really good yoga classes, but that’s not going to be the case here, we’re going to prove them wrong.”

Just went in to check the place out. Price update: there is an initial enrollment fee of $150 and month-to-month is $99 or $79 a month for a year contract. Expensive for such a low key place.

$150 enrollment fee goes towards your ‘personal’ account, so you can use it at the smoothie bar or for spa treaments, massages, waxing.. etc

The owner is a cheap _ _ _. The equipment is all used and was just repainted. BS is was made from recycled metal.. Unless by recycled he means somebody else threw the crap out and he just put some fresh green paint on it. The bikes are crap too and the kinetic claims are a total riot. He was too cheap to buy new equipment that works, but he will charge $1100.00 per year for membership. HAHA!
I hope ya’ll dont waste your money on a total farce. Go join NYSC. Better equipment, cheaper rates, and this guys juice is probably straight from the can.
I feel sorry for the employees.
