When you move to the neighborhood with the highest rate of child poverty and HIV infection in NYC, you shouldn't be surprised by the effects of poverty you see. My mom & her sisters went to HS 480. So with some "we was here first" style arrogance I DO consider the unwashed loud locals a pain in the ass, and I don't feel bad about it. THe majority of B'wickers are really decent folks, but there is some serious assholes here. Then again, there always have been, so why sweat it? Meanwhile the Beauty Bar isn't as bad as I expected it to be, hipsterwise.
