Happy Thanksgiving, Bushwick! Cheers to you and all of the wonderful people you’re thankful for. It sounds like lots of folks are headed out of town, but for those of us staying local, there are a few things happening, and I’m betting our increasing list of bar options will be hopping.
Friday, Market Hotel delivers a Fuck Buttons show that made New York Magazine’s list of "ten shows to see this month."

Royal Jelly Entertainment presents: "Dead Man’s Cell Phone: the Hopper-inspired tale of a lost soul’s search for meaning after she encounters a corpse and its incessant cell phone at a lonesome cafe. The show takes a surreal look at the difficulty people have making a connection in the overly connected technological age." (Although for the record, I think texting is WAY more convenient that talking.) $10.
Saturday, The Division of Human Works, Cryptic Carousel and Tin Cans and Twin Records present: Noisegiving. "Cryptic Carousel has just released it’s first compilation cassette, People Skills!! This is Cryptic Carousel’s 28th release and biggest yet! We’re kicking off the evening @ 5 with a Tea Ceremony Sound Installation/ Performance and will folllow with 11 Awesome Noise Sets!" 1501 Broadway, starting at 5pm, FREE.
