Though Greater Bushwick’s been attracting a lot of film crews lately, yesterday’s 12-hour movie shoot on Bushwick Avenue tops them all. Why? Because Samuel L. Jackson might have been on the set.

The beautifully preserved and terribly underutilized Ridgewood Masonic Temple became a hub of frantic activity yesterday during the shooting of The Other Guys, a "dramady" due out in August 2010. The film is directed by Adam McKay and stars a long list of Hollywood notables like Mark Wahlberg, Will Ferrell, Dwayne Johnson (AKA The Rock), Eva Mendes, Samuel L. Jackson, Anne Heche, Micheal Keaton and even Ms. Paris Hilton.

Movie trailers clogged Bushwick Avenue all day as the film crew shot a funeral scene inside the temple where most of the film’s stars appear together, according to a security guard on the scene. Unfortunately, none of the main actors stepped outside, making BushwickBK’s paparazzi feel more useless than usual.
