Walking past the mostly empty and freshly painted (read: graffiti mural-ed) lot next to Roberta’s, I ran into this strapping lad exiting one of the many converted loft buildings lining the street. I was most impressed with his leather jacket which, if you take a closer look at the buttons, is a woman’s coat.

Brian Chillemi, 27, Musician/Filmmaker

With a gait straight out of a Brautigan novel, and hair kept perfectly unkempt, Brian is the epitome of vintage rocker. The kind of look where you’re not sure if he spent $35 or $350 on his outfit — the shoes look vintage, but they could be Marc Jacobs, and it’s hard to find a great fit in a cheap pair of thrift store jeans unless you’re super committed. Alas, after our exchange and a closer look at his sunglasses, I’d guess he rolls out of bed in the morning and just happens to have it together. Everything is tight, but not too tight, and something about the sleeves of the jacket being a touch too short is quite charming.
