This week, we picked studios around Bushwick of varying price. Some studios seem expensive but may have amenities that make the price acceptable, while other may simply be overpriced. And just because something is $800 doesn’t mean it’s a steal — it could be borderline uninhabitable. Good luck!
$900 — studio: Beautiful brownstone apartment with great old details. Renovated bath and kitchen are doable. Location is attractive if out of the way. Utilities included! Win.
PETS OK | Bushwick and Woodbine | street view | Gates JZ
$975 — studio: Not much to it, but it’s a large-looking space and it’s all yours. Location is alright for the north side of Myrtle, and the rent is negotiable. Make sure to negotiate.
PETS OK | Bushwick and Troutman | street view | Myrtle JMZ
$1250 — studio: For this price, size alone isn’t enough. You better be begging to live here for $1250, especially considering it’s not a loft, but simply a railroad with no walls. But it is decently renovated, has wood floors, a big kitchen, and okay light. The block is not so attractive, but it’s in a convenient location to most stuff.
PETS OK | Suydam and Central | street view | Central M/Dekalb L
$1150 — studio: Another gutted railroad with great exposed brick wall and wood floors. The agent doesn’t seem to know how or doesn’t want to use the map function correctly, so we only know it’s around Myrtle. A bit expensive, so it should be large, and closer to Wyckoff than Broadway.
