Hm. I remember going in there on a really hot summer day and feeling like the cooler was keeping the beef (I always eat shoulder cut london broil, fyi - best bang for your buck) morbidly luke-cool.

The place isn't gross at all; I go there at least once a week, and it both looks and operates like any other grocery store. I've never seen anything but general cleanliness there.

Barrett - don't you find that C-town to be gnarly and a #10 on the gross factor? You've actually ingested beef from that place? Impressive man. You are hardcore.

Stopping and questioning a person walking on Jefferson St and Knickerbocker is well within the regulations of the nypd. Its called reasonable suspicion. Some of the newbies in the neighborhood take offense to this because they just cant believe that the area was once an open market for drugs. Because of the "illegal searches" the drug scene is not as popular or open as it used to be years back but it is still here in force. Now if you have that little bag of weed or coke than your hostility towards the police is understood.

Tidbit of information for some of you... The blond skinny girl with the ripped jeans walking up and down jefferson st at 4 in the morning is not your tree hugging neighbor people. Some of you really need to wake up.

"if u hate america go back 2 russiaz commy!"
Talk about contradicting yourself... LoL

Last Saturday I saw three citizens stomp a fourth citizen's head into Flushing Avenue. I thought, would the cops really care if some loud, antagonistic drunkard shouting "Fuck you" over and over again got stomped on and slithered home to lick his wounds? Probably not. Would they prefer to detain, search and arrest a drug dealer? Probably.

The facts here are a little difficult to read. Perhaps if Barrett Brown had posted the official NYPD "regulations" to searching a citizen, I would have more of a basis to judge what exactly is going on here.

Facts are stubborn things, guys. To quote a founding father.
