This week, we’re just listing whatever looks good, all around the neighborhood.

$1695 — 2br: This is a duplex apartment in a beautifully redone house — I have seen the unit, and it’s great. It’s bright and cheery, has amenities like a dishwasher and internet and cable included, and a back yard. The landlord is great and he lives in the building.

$1125 — 1br: This place is nice looking, and though the bedroom looks quite tiny, it’s nice to be able to have your own place that isn’t crumbling around you. The location is convenient to the train and if Beauty Bar is your kind of scene, well, it’s across the street, not to mention the new Hibachi Tiki Hut. And at the bodega on the corner, the clerk recently sported a t-shirt that said “America Welcomes Qadhafi: President of the African Union.” Now that’s local color.

$1050 — 1br: Really beautiful one-bedroom in a prewar building on Bushwick Avenue. Amazing light, original details abound, and the price is right.

$1200 — 1br: This brownstone apartment has some cool details, including an awesome fireplace, though that is offset by what looks like industrial carpet, despite the ad saying there are hardwood floors. Check that out for yourself. Otherwise, a pretty decent-looking place and utilities are included.

$2400 — 3br: Excellent views from this massive three-bedroom penthouse in one of the few tasteful new construction buildings in Bushwick. The kitchen has a dishwasher, the building has on-site laundry, and in addition to the common roof deck, this unit has its own Manhattan-facing private roof deck — sweet. Convenient location, too, and it has 1.5 months free. (Again, the street view looks like hell but that’s an old view, and for some reason they didn’t go down Melrose.)
