Bushwick Chic: Summer’s Swan Song

Sunday felt like the death-rattle of summer, and these two Bushwick ladies, not yet required to cover up with thick coats, were out in their finest bright colors.

Jennifer Catron, 25, Artist & Artist’s Assistant

Ms. Catron was walking down Moore Street headed for the subway when spotted. Her dress was amazing for its simple one-stripe design and classic mini cut. Sprightly and feminine without being too precious, that big, glorious bow is the perfect focal point between the pumpkin-colored dress and Ms. Catron’s pretty red hair.

Kassandra Ramos, 13, Student

Strolling through María Hernández Park with two of her friends and this little guy, Ms. Ramos showed an impressive command of the purple-fuschia-indigo color strata with her outfit. Shirt, bracelet, and even the subtle accents on her retro high-top sneakers were all blue, purple, or pink, with those outrageously bright bangs, brought the whole ensemble together.
