This week, we’re just presenting apartments that caught our eye, with a focus on good deals for all price ranges.
$1200 — 2br: This part of the neighborhood is far off the beaten path, in both senses — it’s a bit far out from business areas, and was never damaged in Bushwick’s troubles. It’s a lovely, well-maintained quadrant with cheap, magnificent apartments like this one, where every original detail is intact. The sun floods in and space and light abound.
PETS OK | Decatur and Irving | street view | Halsey L
$1650 — 2br: This place is very nice, in a renovated brick building on a quirky corner of the neighborhood. The floors are bit over-glossed, but the kitchen and bath are tastefully modern, and it has a dishwasher and w/d hookups.
PETS OK | Evergreen and Willoughby | street view | Central M
$1250 — 2br: Nice bones in this inexpensive apartment in South Bushwick — original parquet and wood floors, moldings, decent kitchen and bath, and plenty of windows. Location is not very “happening” but it’s cheap.
PETS OK | Bushwick and Hancock | street view | Halsey J
$1550 — 3br rr: Your basic railroad, with three walk-through rooms — great for couples or an artist who needs a studio. Wood floors, great location in prime Bushwick near food and drink and transportation.
PETS OK | Irving and Troutman | street view | Jefferson L
$1150 — 1br: Cheap for its location, this apartment has exposed brick and decent kitchen and bathroom facilities. Like the one above, good location near bars and restaurants and art.
PETS OK | Melrose and Irving | street view | Jefferson L
