Bourdain: Bushwick ‘Unlikely, Middle of Nowhere’
Tonight on the Travel Channel, celebrity New York chef Anthony Bourdain and the executive chef at Les Halles head to Bushwick and eat — of course — at Tortillería Los Hermanos on Starr Street, Bourdain lauding its authenticity as “the ‘Mexican’ you find in Mexico: no cheddar cheese, no sour cream, and no sno-cone margaritas.” However, I guess Tony doesn’t know about Bushwick’s current megasuperhotness; he considers it a “very unlikely neighborhood in the middle of nowhere.”
Tune in to the Travel Channel tonight at 10 to see his escapades in the outer boroughs. (Quotes from NY Post)

Wow. Unbelievable. This place is getting so hyped and it’s by no means the best in the area. The tacos al pastor on Maria Hernandez Park are so much better. Also, you can get Mexican style tacos and other small bites anywhere by specifying “a la Mexicana.”
I can’t bear the waits at Los Hermanos anymore.
no sorry, NOT better than tacos al pastor! put them side by side and taste. No contest.
I have to agree with Mjay. And this gringo lived in Arizona for 2 years. Al Pastor 100% more authentic. It helps if you speak Spanish, TV douchebags.
