This week I have ADD — I’ve just grabbed random apartments all around the neighborhood that speak to me in some way, whether it’s their price, appearance, or what have you.

$1100 — 1br: Actually seems like a two-bedroom railroad, but either way it’s large and bright and I like the painted wood floors. Great price and good location near Peruvian food and a wine shop.
Stanhope and Irving | street view | DeKalb L

$1600 — 1br: Wow, remember the tar-bazookaed condo on Menahan? Turns out the interiors are fabulous. It’s a one-bedroom but massive, great light, amazing fixtures, and gorgeous shared back yard deck. Yes, it’s expensive for the area — and by the area i mean all Bushwick, forget Menahan — but if you want that flawless California look, here you go.
Menahan and Wyckoff | street view | Myrtle-Wyckoff L

$1299 — 1br: This is expensive, no doubt, but maybe it’s huge? and if you ever wanted to know what the inside of those arched windows on old buildings looked like before they were replaced with ugly square ones that don’t even fit, here you go. Big kitchen, great moldings, wood (parquet?) floors, and in one of Bushwick’s few brownstones, if you care about such things.
Linden and Bushwick | street view | Gates J

$1600 — 2br: I know it’s strange to think, but this somewhat inexpensive for the Morgan area. Two full bedrooms, and while not terribly charming inside, they are renovated decently and everything is in good shape. It’s also close to Bogart’s food, wine, art, groceries, and venues.
Grattan and Knickerbocker | street view | Morgan L

$1300 — 2br: Good price for this bland but clean/new unit in an okay location close enough to prime Bushwick’s coolness, food, and fun, and the train is a two-minute walk.
Central and Hart | street view | Central M
