On Tuesday night, the Xylopholks held a benefit show at the House of Yes. For those who may not have witnessed their fantastic performances on the NYC subway platforms, they are a group of musicians who play 1920’s ragtime tunes while dressed in furry animal garb (think cookie monster, pink gorilla, skunk, baboon, & dog). Their main goal is to “make people happy”; with that in mind, next month they’re taking their music across the world to bring smiles to the people of India. This show was put on to raise money for their trip, which made it well worth the price of admission (plus, free beer doesn’t hurt either!). Want to contribute to their travel funds? Donate now!
