If homes had been going for these prices a few years ago I might have ended up on this side of Myrtle — personally glad I didn’t, but I certainly would have had a more attractive house. These were pushing $700K back in the day, and now they’ve settled down to a more doable 450-550 range. The beautiful brick exterior of these homes, especially with intact cornices, blows boring brownstones out of the water any day. Horizontal stonework punctuates the brick, fending off monotony. The block is nice enough, right off recently renovated Irving Square Park in an area with much intact classic architecture. These will certainly be historic districts in the future. In fact, on this block is a very old German Presbyterian church.

No idea what the inside looks like — as usual agents can’t be bothered to do their jobs well even in a crap economy — but it’s absolutely worth a look, especially at this size.
