Hostage Taking Ends With Perp’s Death
A hostage situation was resolved this afternoon on Cornelia Street between Wilson and Knickerbocker, apparently when an NYPD sniper shot the assailant dead. You can see the sniper on top of the swat vehicle in the above photo.
“Helicopters came first at 2:30pm, then the fire department, then an armored vehicle, then hostage negotiators. It ended at like 4pm,” says a tipster.
That explains it – I heard those helicopters all afternoon and was wondering if something funny was going on.
this was a few houses down from me. i heard he had a toy gun.
any more news on what happened here? I haven’t been able to find any report on this in any of the newspapers or anywhere else. Seems like it would be a pretty big story but it’s gotten zero coverage.
it was a crackhead inside a crack house unfortnutely noone got hurt…. crackheads should all be confined and put in a crackhead home. bushwick has gone to shit once again… i feel as if im back in the 80s again.
