The dining options on Broadway are about to expand into the non-fried category. Within a couple weeks, Bushwick local John Seefeldt plans to open The Hibachi Tiki Hut, a small bar and grill that will serve a variety of sizzling deliciousness including baby-back ribs, filet mignon and swordfish steaks.
“This area needs something different,” Seefeldt said. “I live up the street and there’s nothing to do around here.”
Seefeldt went on to say he was happy to see the Beauty Bar open less than a block away from his establishment and hopes the two businesses will spark up the neighborhood on weekend nights.
The Hibachi Tiki Hut is expected to open by July 4th and will occupy a space at 890 Broadway that used to be a nail salon… which happens to be in between a Mexican Deli that used to be a Salsa dance studio and a new nail salon that used to be a butcher shop. Change surely is constant on Broadway.

you should post about the taco spot that opened next door, 2$ tacos that are fresh & delicious and easily compete with the tortilla factory!

We discovered it takes a lot longer than we thought to file all the proper permits, but we are ready for action and having our grand opening this Friday, Sept. 18th!! Please come and check it out. DJ Cav will be spinning and the grill will be smoking.
