$1400 — 1br: Awesome one-bedroom — it’s a new building and not terribly attractive outside, but the interiors are great and it has an awesome roof deck and views. Washer/dryer and dishwasher in unit, whirlpool tub… this place actually approaches its “luxury” label. It’s also close to Mr. Kiwi, Beauty Bar, and the other stuff at the Myrtle-Broadway hub. Not bad.

$1450 — 2br: Very nice apartment in a good part of town — wine shop, churrascaria, grocery stores, and general hustle and bustle. Most of the floors look like the original wood, though it seems few other details remain. The kitchen is a strange set-up but this probably allowed for a railroad to be remade into a proper two-bedroom. Private back yard = awesome.

$1350 — 2br: Very good price for a real two-bedroom. Not much in the character department, being a new building, but you’re also unlikely to have any of those old-building problems. Has a shared back yard and is close to the train.

$950 — 1br: Here’s our budget pick. No photos, but okay location, close to train.

$1500 — 3br rr: Very nicely redone railroad in Ridgewood — marble counters? wow. Adorable street, great price, a bit far from stuff (well, Silent Barn is there) but not too far from the subway.
