If you travel to and from Bushwick via the L train, keep an eye out for the cute/creepy person in a furry dolphin (or is it a bluebird?) costume giving away “free bouncy rides” on his/her lap.
The friendly flipper is an artist, part of a collective curiously named Club Animals.
The next scheduled “bouncy” will be at Saturday, June 13th on the L train platform at 1st Ave between 11p-12a.
Just don’t call them furries — according to their FAQ, they are all about good clean fun:
“Club Animals has embraced childhood, and the time when what was valued most was fun, horseplay, and experimentation without worrying about ‘reality.’”
Whether or not you appreciate horseplay or experimentation on your train ride home, you have been warned.

There are some furries that live at 315 Seigel Street. During my tenure there I found both a panda and teddy bear costume in the washing machines…more than once.
